MBC is upgrading its FREE Analog cable service to HD!

General Questions: Cable TV

How do I set up Closed Captioning?

Closed Captioning is available for all HD Digital Cable TV customers.

To activate Closed Captioning, turn on Closed Captioning by clicking the “SUBT” button on your MBC remote (located under the red F1 button). If this option doesn’t appear when you click the “SUBT” button, it is possible your Set-Top Box needs to receive the Closed Captioning update. To receive the update, tune to channel 105 and wait for the upgrade to begin. Once it is complete, you will be able to set up Closed Captioning.

NOTE: If your SUBT key is not under the F1 button, you have an out-of-date remote. Please stop by any MBC office to swap it out for a new Universal Smart Remote. There is no cost for the new remote.

Closed captioning is available on all channels that transmission this service. AFN HD does not offer closed captioning. If you have any questions, please contact us.
